ruma blouse anar green banana fibre

ruma blouse anar green banana fibre

Ruma took pride to craft this blouse; the ‘nail-fold' finishing and the ever-so-slightly rounded collar are touches of sweet refinement. The end result is a blouse full of nonchalance, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

Long sleeved collared blouse, with delicate, curved-cut sleeve ends, an attached long length waist tie and three square shell buttons.

Limited edition colour: Anar green (natural dye)

A luxurious fall and feel, Ruma blouse is made from a medium weight banana fibre viscose fabric (a regenerated cellulose fibre) often known as Banana silk due to it’s silk like feel, woven on a powered handloom in Gujurat, north-west India. Naturally dyed with the pigments of the pomegranate (anar) fruit and a pinch of iron. Know more about our fabrics here.

Please note: This fabric is dyed with natural pigment, in small batches by hand which means there are some small splashes and slight differing in shades on the finished fabric. Each of these marks remind us of the human craft and the intrinsic beauty of natural and non-mechanical methods.

Cool hand wash, without soaking. Dry naturally. Warm iron. Fabrics dyed with natural pigments may have some uneven appearance and the colour can gently fade in time. We select natural dyes for designs that this characteristic will compliment.
